Terms of use
LakeList is an informational planning service. These terms describe the limits that matter when using lake data, maps, forecasts, and external links.
Last updated July 21, 2026LakeList organizes information from public and third-party sources to help people explore lakes and plan trips. It does not provide navigation, emergency, legal, medical, or professional safety advice.
Lake access, weather, water conditions, hazards, fishing rules, closures, and business details can change without notice. Check the relevant agency, property manager, weather service, or other official source before boating, fishing, swimming, traveling, or spending money.
Historical depth maps and modeled or interpolated depth products are not navigation charts. Modeled temperatures, forecasts, rankings, and generated explanations are estimates that can be incomplete or wrong. Labels and source notes are part of the information and should not be removed from context.
You may use LakeList for ordinary personal and commercial trip research. Do not interfere with the site, bypass access controls, submit malicious requests, misrepresent LakeList data as an official record, or use automated access in a way that harms availability for other visitors.
External sites, maps, agencies, retailers, and booking providers control their own content, availability, prices, and policies. LakeList is not responsible for a third party's service. LakeList may earn a commission from an enabled and disclosed affiliate link without increasing the displayed price.
Features and data coverage may change as sources, licenses, quality rules, and technical systems evolve. LakeList may correct, remove, or replace information when stronger evidence becomes available. Continued use after these terms are updated means the current version applies to later visits.
