Management contextThe report is specific to Middle Genesee Lake and describes a June 9, 2023 SEII shoreline electrofishing survey. Panfish CPUE values come from the all-species station and gamefish CPUE values from the full gamefish effort as stated by DNR.

The 2023 survey sampled 155 fish across six species. Bluegill and largemouth bass were the dominant target species; both were described as naturally reproducing, stable populations in a productive and healthy fishery.

  • DNR cautions that electrofishing catch rates can be affected by weather, gear and timing and should be interpreted accordingly.
