This is a smooth mathematical model, not a survey - real holes, bars, and drop-offs will differ. Community sonar (C-MAP Genesis) overlays where recorded. Not for navigation.

DNR water check

Water quality quick take

Historical volunteer-monitoring record for this lake.

Last sampled Jul 2016Volunteer monitoring 1994–2016

DNR volunteers monitored this lake for about 22 years, ending in 2016. Its final monitored summers showed slight haze water (~7.5 ft Secchi) in 2015, low algae (chlorophyll ~5 µg/L) in 2002, and high nutrients (phosphorus ~213.5 µg/L) in 2002. After 10 years without samples, these readings describe the lake as it was, not as it is.

Management contextLake-specific comprehensive survey with 52 northern-pike fyke-net nights, 2.25 gamefish electrofishing miles and one panfish electrofishing mile. Gear-specific catches, measured subsamples and mark-recapture estimates remain separate.

DNR found high northern-pike abundance, moderate-high largemouth bass, abundant small black crappie and very high bluegill/pumpkinseed abundance.

  • Northern-pike Table 2 CPUE (6.6) conflicts with the narrative/Table 4 value (6.3); only the repeated 6.3 value is retained.
  • Black-crappie CPUE conflicts between 90.5 and 90.3 fish/net-night and is excluded.
  • Several bluegill narrative rates conflict with Tables 14-17; only clearly labeled table values and measured subsamples are retained.
  • Pumpkinseed Tables 21-23 visibly repeat northern-pike values and are excluded; clear electrofishing values from Table 2/Table 24 remain.
